A concrete company that digs a test hole before it names a price
We started because Meridian grew from 35,000 people to more than 150,000 in a quarter century, and a lot of the concrete poured during that run wasn't built for an Idaho winter.

Meridian was a farm town of fewer than 10,000 people in 1990. By 2000 it had about 35,000, by 2020 about 118,000, and by April 2026 the regional planning agency estimated about 152,000, making it Idaho's second-largest city. Roughly three out of four homes here were built after 2000, and in 2006 alone the City issued more than 3,200 residential building permits. Driveways, walks and patios went in fast. Many went in thin, on little or no base, with a mix that wasn't made for about 92 freeze-thaw days a year and the magnesium chloride that drips off every car in January.
Meridian Concrete Co. is a locally operated concrete company, not a franchise or a call center, that books and manages residential concrete work across Meridian, Boise, Nampa, Eagle, Kuna, Star, Caldwell, Garden City and Middleton. The crews that do the work are registered with the State of Idaho, as required for jobs of $2,000 or more, and carry general liability and workers' compensation. Work in ACHD's right-of-way is done under ACHD's permit by a contractor carrying the bond and insurance ACHD requires.
What we stand on
Measure first, then quote
An estimator measures the job, digs a test hole where the ground matters, reads the plat for easements, finds the irrigation lines and works out whether the job touches ACHD's right-of-way before anyone names a number. Plenty of sunken slabs can be lifted instead of replaced, and we say so.
Build for the winter
Air-entrained concrete around 4,000 psi, a compacted gravel base, the right thickness for the load, joints cut the same day, a slope that drains, curing on day one and a breathable sealer before the first freeze. Footings go to the 24-inch frost line, through the hardpan if that's where it is.
The right approval, from the right office
The City of Meridian, ACHD, the Idaho Transportation Department, Boise, Nampa, Eagle and the rest each have their own rules. We know whose approval your job needs, file it, schedule the inspection and send your HOA its drawing.
Answer the phone
Calls are answered 24 hours a day, and an estimator calls back the next business morning. Crews work Monday through Saturday, and summer pours start at first light so the slab sets before the heat.
